South Sound Commissary is a family-owned and operated commercial food preparation kitchen specifically designed for mobile food units like food trucks and coffee carts. We are permitted by Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and licensed by City of Sumner.

South Sound Amenities

South Sound Commissary offers amenities required most by mobile food units. There is no cooking equipment on-site or catering event space – just what is needed:

Location

Our 1,500 square foot kitchen is located in the Sumner Square strip mall on the east side of Sumner. There is plenty of daytime parking on-site. Easy access to Hwy 410 and Hwy 167. Close to stores: <1 mile to Fred Meyer, 1.2 miles to WinCo, and 4.5 miles to Costco.

Lease Options

A variety of lease options are available to meet the needs of different mobile units from commissary exempt coffee carts to high risk, daily service food trucks. Amenities include walk-in, reach-in coolers and freezers, private lockable dry storage closet, bagged ice, etc. Choose from full amenities, freshwater fill/grey water dump only, or a la carte amenities for something in between. We have a mobile unit sales site located on-site in the adjacent parking lot. Current tenants may sign up to sell at the Food Lot at Sumner Square at no cost. Picnic tables are provided for customers and your kitchen is just feet away.
